(co)space (co)nversations with Tommy Priest

September 12, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Tommy is nothing short of an entrepreneurial phenomenon—bringing together an abiding passion for building an equitable and abundant community, a remarkably creative start-up ingenuity and a deep confidence in the power of art, in all its diversity, to fuel economic and social abundance.

Tommy’s entrepreneurial passion and values have been put to the test in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, a city that has historically been fractured and siloed, plagued by deep patterns of poverty and inequity, yet also one with a vibrant arts community. And it’s in that challenging environment that Tommy has worked a peculiar kind of magic that has built bridges, enabled creative collaboration and created opportunities for social and economic progress.

Join us as Tommy shares from his rich experience around how to level the playing field in a diverse community, creating space to provide more entrepreneurial opportunities through unusual partnerships and collaboration. **Think merging government, private business, artists of all kinds, and makers and business to collectively innovate in a small town.** Ridiculously awesome, eh?

(co)space (co)nversations – a treat to the community from (co)space to hang out during your lunch hour every other Tuesday starting September 12th. We facilitate the conversation of lessons learned from successful, international entrepreneurs who have made a difference on and in the world.
